Throughout my entire school career, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA (unweighted). This definitely wasn’t easy because highschool presented me with more advanced, challenging courses. In the end, I persevered by developing study styles that work for me.
I took my first AP class in my sophomore year and I’ve continued taking them every year since. I fell in love with them not only because they challenge me but they allow me to learn topics I am interested in, like psychology and biology, at a higher level.
I have taken 7 AP courses throughout highschool: AP U.S. History, AP Psychology, AP Calculus AB, AP Environmental Science, AP Biology, AP Statistics, and AP Literature.
I achieved this during my junior year. This award is given when a student takes at least 4 AP courses and their score averages at least 3.25. As of right now, I am on track to receive the AP Scholar With Distinction award at the end of this year,
I achieved this award by being a student athlete while simultaneously maintaining a GPA above 3.5.
My participation in volleyball and tennis did not hinder me from maintaining my 4.0 average.
